I am a specialist physiotherapist with experience assessing, diagnosing and treating of a wide range of musculoskeletal problems. Whilst pregnant with my first child I developed a special interest in Women’s Health – that is pregnancy-related pain and dysfunction (particularly back and pelvic pain) and gynaecological problems, such as incontinence and prolapse. I have completed a post-graduate qualification in physiotherapy in Women’s Health and work alongside other healthcare professionals – such as midwives, local GPs and specialists – to speed recovery, relieve symptoms, optimize function and delay surgery where appropriate.
I aim to offer expert help that is compatible with the other demands on your time. I understand how difficult it can be to take time away from work and family for appointments or to undertake an exercise programme. I offer telephone appointments where appropriate and have flexible clinic hours to try to reduce the strain. All treatment plans are developed in collaboration with you, designing individualised exercises and lifestyle adaptations to optimise your recovery.
If you are suffering problems with back or joint pain, sciatica, pregnancy-related pain or gynaecological problems I will endeavour to reach a solution that is satisfactory for you and to give you the ‘tools’ to manage your problem independently. If I am unable to do so I will find someone who can.
The clinic is situated in the Maurice Suite at Marlborough Medical Practice, with free parking in George Lane and a short walk from Marlborough High Street. It is a professional and safe clinical environment, well known to many in the local area, with dedicated reception staff who keep everything running smoothly.
